    The Mayan Palace Cancun isn't actually in Cancun. It is about 30 minutes ride south on the beautiful Mayan Riviera. It is about ten minutes ride north of Playa del Carmen.   [back to top]

    The beach is beautiful and private. The swimming is a little too rocky right in front of the resort, but 5 minutes or so walk to the south and it's perfect.   [back to top]

  27. Are groceries readily available and good quality?
    Yes. There are groceries at the resort, but if you are going to cook often, we recommend going to a grocery store in town at least once as a more cost effective alternative. Chedraui is an excellent store on the main highway 307 and Juarez in Playa del Carmen.   [back to top]

  28. Do I need to rent a car?
    It depends. You can easily get by without a car. You can get a taxi into Playa or catch one of the mini busses called collectivos on the main road for about $1 / person. Click here for more detailed collectivo information.
    If you plan to do much exploring of the Mayan Riviera, renting a car at the airport is the way to go.   [back to top]

  29. Is there a shuttle from the airport?

  30. What is the Grand Mayan?

  31. Can I rent an ocean front suite?
    All the units at the Riviera Maya resort run perpendicular to the beach, so there are really no ocean front rooms, but it is never far away.   [back to top]

  32. Is there internet access?
    There is an internet cafe available for a nominal fee. There are no internet hookups or wireless access in the rooms.   [back to top]
