1. Water Park and Lazy River

The happening place in Nuevo Vallarta is the Grand Mayan water park.  There is a fun filled lazy river with waterfalls and an intermittent wave machine.  There are multiple landscaped pool areas with water volleyball and other sports happening throughout the day.  In between activities,  pool side food and drink is available all day.  Everything a teen could want to be entertained.

The Jungala Water Experience at Vidanta Riviera Maya is an adrenaline filled separate water experience available for an extra charge.  The whole family could go and rent a cabana with available upscale food and drink options.   It can easily be a whole day adventure within your Vidanta vacation.  Huge water slides,  water chutes,   slides with inflatable rafts and much more is waiting for your Teen To Do at Vidanta resorts.

2. Work Out In Nuevo Vallarta or Riviera Maya

This generation of teens is way more health-conscious than ever before, and Vidanta really leans into that. For teens who like to stay active—or are just starting to get into fitness—there’s a lot to take advantage of.  Every Vidanta resort gives guests free access to  state-of-the-art fitness centers. We’re talking sleek spaces with everything from rows of high-end cardio machines to full sets of weights and resistance equipment. It’s not just some tucked-away room with a couple of dusty machines—these are legit gyms you’d be happy to work out in back home.

On top of that, Vidanta offers a great selection of group fitness classes that teens might actually want to try. Whether your teen is into slow-and-steady core workouts or high-energy cardio bursts, there's something for every vibe. 3. Cirque du soleil

If you are up for a splurge, teens as well as adults will enjoy the spectacular Cirque du Soleil show called Joya right on site at Vidanta Riviera Maya.  If they have progressed past McDonalds,  they also will be wowed by the incredible dinner right at the same venue.  Honestly, this is one of the more memorable meals we have had in recent years.  After a spectacular dessert, get ready for the legendary high wire spins , flips and dives that Cirque is so well known for.  

Nuevo Vallarta Cirque du Soleil

If you are thinking Winter 2026 you may be in luck.  The avant garde architecture of the Cirque du Soleil theater in VidantaWorld Nuevo Vallarta is well underway.  Rumor has it that the contract requires it to be open by November 2025.   I will update this post in December and confirm or deny.   This will be part of the new VidantaWorld with other great entertainment.  More about the new VidantaWorld below. 

4. Arcade Games

There are a large variety of fun filled arcade games in the new VidantaWorld , Nuevo Vallarta.  The immersive theme park has been temporarily closed until sometime near the end of 2025.   We will update this post and the VidantaWorld post as soon as we know more.  This park is destined to provide a plethora of things for teens to do at Vidanta including arcades, rides and the aforementioned Cirque du Soleil.

If your teen is into gaming, the video arcade at Vidanta Riviera Maya is an absolute win. It’s a bright, buzzing spot packed with everything from classic favorites like air hockey and racing games to the latest interactive adventures and high-score challenges. Whether they’re teaming up with siblings or making new friends over a little friendly competition, it’s the perfect place to hang out, cool off, and just have some good old-fashioned fun. Plus, it’s a great way to let them enjoy a bit of independence in a safe, laid-back environment while you sneak off to the spa or grab a margarita. Everyone’s happy.

5. Participative Sports

At both the Riviera Maya and Nuevo Vallarta locations, Vidanta's Joy Squad will keep the fun coming with opportunities for participative sports.  

  • Pickleball – Super popular and easy to learn; there are dedicated courts and casual play opportunities.

6. Snorkel Trip

The travel agent desk can arrange a snorkel trip at near by Puerto Morelos.  There is a spectacular reef right off the coast and Puerto Morelos is a ten minute ride away.  The crystal clear waters of the Caribbean are renowned for their visibility and myriad of fish.

7. Eco Parks

Xcaret – A Full-Day Adventure Wrapped in Natural Beauty

On windy days when the waves are up, it s a blast to rent boogie boards right on the beach.  Try lto position yourself and get moving as fast as you can before the wave breaks.  It can be fun to see who can get the longest ride. 

11. Rock Night at Santuario

There is live music or entertainment every night at the Santuario.  However, not every night will appeal to teens.  Make sure to check the schedule so you don't miss the nights with lively entertainment that will be ideal for teens to enjoy,.

12. Whale Watching

13. Zip line expedition
