A public wifi network covering a half mile of the new Malecon was announced by Salvador González Reséndiz, Mayor of Puerto Vallarta

Access to internet on the Malecon is completely free and is available now for a maximum of two hours per person and at a respectable download of 1 Mbit/s.

The project was initiated by the authorities of Puerto Vallarta, and it has come to fruition due to the support of Telmex, the internet company that also provides the service
