It isn’t advertised but all our guests that rent at the Grand Luxxe level, including Spa Tower and the amazing Lofts have a secret perk at Vidanta Grand Luxxe spa.   You can reserve an hour at the outdoor area of the Luxxe Spa. This is available in Nuevo Vallarta and in Riviera Maya.

Welcome to Paradise

The outdoor are is a paradise setting with a separate women’s and a men’s dry sauna, a cold pool to follow the dry sauna if you are brave enough, a steam room , a Swedish shower and finally a huge co-ed jacuzzi tub area. Scattered through the paradise are private nooks where you can drink naturally flavored waters, and relax on a lounge chair and absorb quiet and feel your stress melting away. This can be added on before or after you have a massage, but I also do this as a separate relaxing day activity.

My Personal Routine

You can use one or all of facilities. Here is the routine I do when I visit the outdoor area. Scroll down to see photos of this area.

1. 10 to 15 minutes in the dry sauna until I feel so hot I might roast
2. I personally like the rush of plunging into the cold pool, but you can skip it if you must
3. Next the steam room is a great unwind from the cold pool plunge
4. I sometimes hit the Swedish shower, sometimes not.
5. I follow with moving around in front of various jets in the co-ed jacuzzi tub
6. After the cycle of 1 to 5 above, I love to recline on a chaise lounge in the paradise setting.
7. An optional second trip to #1 and #2 sometimes completes my hour.

You have no social media here. You can soak in quiet and peace and let the stress drain out of your body here. And the cost is …… free !!
