The two bedroom suite in the Grand Luxxe Suite is not rated for more people than the smaller unit types. But the people who stay there will have more room than they thought possible in a vacation rental. It is rated for up to 6 adults and 2 children (under age 13). It includes a central room with living/dining/kitchen area and two separate bedrooms, and two and a half bathrooms. Each suite has a huge balcony of tropical hardwood with its own heated relaxing pool for hot weather.
This is the largest unit available at any of the Vidanta Resorts except for the Grand Luxxe Villa 2 bedroom.
A two bedroom suite at the Grand Luxxe Villa is reported at 2700 square feet. It has a central living room with couches that pull out like a trundle bed to make 4 normal twin size beds. No worries about making beds, just ask the concierge to have the maids make them up at night and the day maids will take them down each morning.
Each bedroom has a king size bed with an exceptionally comfortable mattress. There are a variety of pillow types so you are certain to have one that is perfect for you.
Since this is a top of the line unit it is not set up for piling people in. They are designated for 6 adults and 2 children under 13.
There is a dining area and kitchen with everything you could want besides a conventional oven. That includes a blender, a microwave, a stove top, all pots, pans and dishes, etc. The amenities are all first class with granite countertops and stainless steel refrigerator. Remember, these are brand new units with the latest appliances.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Each shower has a tropical hardwood floor and the option of a luxurious rain head or hand held that mounts just low enough to keep your hair dry. Each bathroom has a large (easily two person) Jacuzzi tub. The extra half bath adds a lot to convenience and is also very nice for guests.
This unit has a huge balcony floored with tropical hardwood. As mentioned above, there is a relaxing pool right on the balcony for kids to play in or adults to cool off. The balcony has a teak (I think) table and chairs for cards or games or snacks. There is also "sitting" furniture. We had to pull the "sofa" around and use the coffee table with pillows on it for a footstool to make it totally functional, but maybe that is just us.
There is twice daily maid service. We generally leave a 50 peso note (about $4) each day for the day maids. The night maids tip would depend on how much they do for you. Room service is available and the prices are pretty much the same as going to the restaurant. They are not obligated to do the dishes, but in our experience, they always do.
