Vidanta Grand Mayan 1 Bedroom Suite Accommodations

The one bedroom suite (Vidanta Resorts calls this unit a Grand Suite). It is rated for up to 4 adults and 2 children (under age 13). It includes the same central room as a two bedroom with living/dining/kitchen area with bathroom. It also has the cooling pool on the balcony. Approximate area is 800 square feet.

These units are the good option for a family with 2 kids. For your comparison purpose, in the Mayan literature they are referred to as Grand Master Suites.

Sleeping

A one bedroom suite at the Vidanta Grand Mayan is over 800 square feet. It is exactly the same as a two bedroom suite minus the second bedroom/bath. It has a central living room with two couches that make 4 normal twin size beds. The beautiful master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and a love seat.

Capacity

This suite is designated for up to 4 adults and 2 children under 13. Of course, you can have more children and less adults, just not more than 4 adults. It's really a wonderful luxury for a couple by themselves.

Dining/Kitchen

There is a dining area and completely stocked kitchen with appliances for evereything except baking. That includes a, a microwave oven, blender (of course!), a stove top, all pots, pans and dishes, silverware etc. The amenities are all first class with granite countertops and stainless steel refrigerator.

Bathrooms

The bathroom can also be accessed from the living area. The bathroom has a large (potentially two person) tub, but the bath in the one bedroom suite doesn't have Jacuzzi jets, for reasons that no one as been able to explain to us.

Balcony

Each suite has a large balcony area with a cute little cooling pool that fills up in the morning and empties at night. There is very nice lawn furniture on the balcony for relaxing on those warm Mexican evenings.

Services

There is twice daily maid service at no charge (at least for our guests). We recommend leaving perhaps a 50 peso note (about $4) each day as a tip for the day maids. The night maids tip would depend on how much they do for you. Room service is available and the prices are pretty much the same as going to the restaurant.
