Vidanta Mayan Palace Studio Accommodations

Below is the main layout for the studio unit (Master Room) is identical to the second bedroom of the two bedroom suite. This large room has a love seat that makes 2 child size single beds. It is rated for 2 adults and 2 children (under age 13). There is no living /kitchen area for this room. It is essentially a very large hotel room. It has a balcony but no cooling pool.

We're not sure who started calling these studios. The do not have a kitchen and I am guessing it is because they are so large and comfortable they started calling them studios. They are a very nice large hotel room (around 300 square feet). Just so you can compare, the Mayan literature refers to these as a Master Room. These units are ideal for those who want to stay at a top of the line resort without paying top of the line prices and who think cooking on vacation is a totally crazy idea.

Sleeping
Vidanta Mayan Palace Bedroom

A Vidanta Mayan Palace studio is around 300 square feet! It has a two double beds. Note that this is different than the Grand Mayan Studio and it may work better or not as well for you, depending on who is going.

Capacity

These units accommodate 2 adults and 2 children under 13. You cannot have 4 adults, even though there are two double beds.

Bathrooms
Vidanta Mayan Palace Bathroom

The bathroom can also be accessed from the living area. The bathroom has both a tub and shower. Mayan Palace does an excellent job of keeping units clean and updated.

Balcony

There is a balcony with these suites, but it is very small and only good for standing outside and breathing the warm ocean air.

Services

There is twice daily maid service. We recommend leaving perhaps a 50 peso note (about $4) each day for the day maids. The night maids tip would depend on how much they do for you. Room service is available and the prices are pretty much the same as going to the restaurant.
