Overview
Three beautiful courses on site make Nuevo Vallarta Vidanta Resort a really great place to combine a golf vacation along with a beach and relaxing resort vacation for those non-golfers. The weather is almost always good and the three golf courses offer exciting options.
Free Golf
The three courses are available to all of our guests including the Grand Mayan and the Grand Bliss. The Nayar course is sometimes at a discounted rate. However, almost all guests in the Grand Luxxe, Loft , Residence or Estates will get free golf rounds and free or discounted massages. The number of rounds varies from 4 to 16 depending on which member contract, so be sure to ask us when you book if you want to play more golf.
Vidanta Nayar Course
Located right at the resort, in a spectacular location between the between mountains of Western Sierra Madre and Banderas Bay, the Nayar course is very open. However, there are a number of interesting water and sand hazards to test your skill. With its strong and constant air currents, it can fool even the most experienced player. The challenging 13th hole has a lake on its left, and a desert area with strong winds on the right.
The long awaited Jack Nicklaus redesign is finally completed. For the less experienced player the strategic placing of the tees allows you to play with the more experienced golfers and still enjoy a challenging game.

The Lakes Course
The Vidanta Lakes course is a 10 hole, par 3 course showcasing the most beautiful views of the resort. It was developed by the Jack Nicklaus Design group and is located in a small natural valley in the center of the resort below Vidanta’s magnificent wooden paths. It’s unique location provide a stadium-like atmosphere for golf spectators all along the course.
Details
The Lakes Golf Course Nuevo Vallarta was inspired by some of the best golf courses in the world such as Augusta National and Bandon Dunes. This unique course includes spectacular obstacles with lakes and sand traps at almost every hole. The illuminated design also offers a great entertainment option for guests who prefer a round at night. The course is open until 10 PM.
Norman Signature Course - Home of the Mexico Open
The Norman Signature Course offers the finest in golf with unsurpassed course conditioning and wall-to-wall paspalum playing surfaces. The exciting course layout follows along the banks of the Ameca River and every hole offers exceptional views of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. Large landing areas off the tee give way to large undulating greens protected by cavernous bunkers, as is typical of Norman design.
The course is uninterrupted by housing and civilization throughout. As challenging from the championship tees as it is forgiving from the forward tees, the Greg Norman course offers four different options for players. There’s even a trip across the world’s longest golf cart suspension bridge spanning the Ameca River from Nayarit to Jalisco. You will never experience a round of golf like it anywhere else in the world. The Golf Course offers 88 bunkers and 15 lakes.
