This page is the resource you need to plan you Puerto Vallarta trip. We have included average highs and lows for each month as well as average rainfall in inches.
The Puerto Vallarta / Nuevo Vallarta area is a very popular place for a beach vacation. To find out why, just check out our weather details. There are over 300 days of sun each year, but even that doesn't tell the whole story. Even when it it does rain, it usually doesn't spoil the party. It will cloud up, dump a nice warm shower, clear up and be sunny again. You just need to find a palapas, have a Margarita (or Grand Mayan Palace Vallarta's creative Picasso) and by the time you finish it's back in the sun. There is a bit more rain during the "hurricane season" from June to early November, but you will be on the Pacific side where hurricanes are quite rare. Note that August and September really do have enough rain to potentially spoil your fun. We rent to hundreds of people in June , July and October because is much less rain and a really small chance of a hurricane. The bottom line is whether you go to sit at the resort and pretend you're in Miami Beach with better weather or you want to explore all the Puerto and Nuevo Vallarta has to offer, the weather at the Grand Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta makes it likely to be an absolute blast.
